Yushania maculata
Very distinctive upright blue-grey canes, eventually olive
green. Height 10 to 12ft.(3.5m). Glossy narrow leaves.Moderately spreading. Sun or light shade. Has tolerated -20C.
A fairly recent introduction from Yunnan where it grows at 6,000 to 11,000 feet.
The willowy leaves and unusual colouration of the culms provide a very effective contrast with other species.
