Phyllostachys bambusoides 'Holochrysa'
Superb glossy canes with a unique orange/gold colour and luxuriant foliage. Forms a slowly expanding clump. Height about 15ft.(5m). Has tolerated -18C but for cooler areas, Phyllostachys vivax 'Aureocaulis' is a hardier alternative. Outstanding as a large specimen plant and can also be used for screening or in large containers in more favourable districts. Limited availability.
