Arundinaria gigantea Once a widespread native plant growing along river banks in the southern states of America, but now quite uncommon. Culms light green, becoming yellowish. Soft, pale green foliage. Has tolerated -20C. Usually of medium height but its height and culm diameter are very variable. A collectors' plant worthy of further trials.
