Phyllostachys aureosulcata 'Spectabilis'
Plentiful closely spaced yellow canes, often striped with green at their base, but otherwise similar to 'Aureocaulis'. RHS. Award. Both varieties are an ideal combination of upright, colourful canes and glossy foliage and are quickly effective as garden plants. A proportion of canes zig zag at their base and may be tinted red on the sunny side.. Has tolerated -26C. Easily grown in sun or light shade. Slowly spreading but readily controlled. Height around 12 to 14ft.(5m). Exceptionally useful and versatile as a specimen plant, screen, or in a large container.
